Flawlessness

Yesterday, I danced to infinite youth

to the timeless beauty of our bond

And when I saw that she was dancing too

There was a bittersweet feeling

fearing that eventually, she would stop

just before I do

I swear, I saw the effortlessness in her steps

But a higher rise

Would just worsen the fall

On the list of my million misconceptions

Flawlessness,

Could be nothing but a disguise

So ripped it apart

Until it tore completely

And when I saw it was real

I declared my hands evil

So, I tried to sew it together, again, piece by piece

In vain, because

I reaped a friendship, a love

That was my duty to keep
